I enjoy rugby and went to a top rugby school although I was shit at it had loads of welsh coaches .
Rugby is not shit at all and actually not hard to understand.

Watching the final which is the first game of the WC I have watched, but can confirm..,,,,,Rugby is a shit game to watch, half the time you can’t even see the ball, it’s just a pile of sweaty bodies!

Rugby is a great sport to play, but like most people out there, I only really watch the Six Nations.
Test Cricket is literally first-class. Best sport for me, and one that can be enjoyed in totally different ways as you mature. Bloody love it.
Football was fanatastix until recently, but now it's utterly fucked and the top leagues are barely worth watching at all. Might as well just run the stats through a few algorithms and just let us know what the results should be and how much we owe. Save all the fuckaboutery.

Its usually the same countries every World Cup ? Why, well because the majority of the world think that Rugby is shit too. Probably why you wont see all the regions of the world playing qualifying games in groups to get through to it. It seems that to take part in a World Cup its decided by a show of hands as to who is interested, which is why you see countries like Namibia,Tonga and Fiji involved.

I think there are three perspectives
1. Playing a sport for fun. Rugby is brutal to play.
2. Watching a sport. Rugby is generally good to watch.
3. Corporate TV sporting entertainment. Rugby does a good job at this.
